Chopped Liver

That is what I feel like little man is being treated like on this blog :-) I have been so bad and not written about anything he is up to...granted its not much but here goes.

He is 3 weeks old today! I cannot believe that much time has gone by already. He is getting to be a little chubby and I just love it! He is eating from both "ninnies" as his sister calls them and also getting about 2-4 oz of formula. He is a big BIG eater compared to his sissy. He is still waking up about every 2-3 hours to eat, and occasionally will go longer just depends on how much he eats and for how long he stays awake. I absolutely love having this little boy to hug and kiss...his smiles when he is falling asleep after eating make my day. I cannot wait until he really smiles at his momma! Last night he only woke 2 times to feed compared to 3 or 4 the night before. Abs slept through the night at about 2 1/2 months and I am looking forward to that day, but am still loving our middle of the night "snack" sessions. He had his first Big boy bath on Wednesday, Dec 29th! He liked it more than his sponge baths...but still not a huge fan of being wet!

Abby is almost 21 months old! She will be 2 before we know it! She is such a busy body these days and thankfully sleeping much better than she did right after brother was born. She cooks all day long with her new kitchen and its many accessories (that are scattered everywhere at the end of the day) and we are enjoying "taste" ing her many (invisible) food creations. She is getting really good at her ABC's and we are just so proud of our "little" BIG girl!

That's all for now! Hope you & yours had a very Merry Christmas! We did and were so blessed this year! Hope next year is a prosperous one for everyone! Happy New Year!!

She bakes

Besides being a great big sister, our little Abby did a little baking with her Nana this evening.
For a crescent roll and a 20 month old...I think she's off to a great start! haha!!

Almost One Week Old....Already?

Well tommorow my sweet little boy will already be one week old! I didn't think time could go by any faster, but it has. We took Ethan to his 1 week appointment today. He weighed 6lbs 12.5 oz, which is about what he was when we went home from the hospital. He has grown a 1/4 of a inch and his head was pretty much the same. Don't have to go back until 1 month! Hooray! I was optimistic that he was getting enough to eat and I was right. We had some issues with Abby losing weight when she was his age, so we were daily/every other day visitors to weigh at the pediatricians office. So happy to be able to just stay at home this time and love on my kiddos.

My mom has been with us since we came home from the hospital, and what a help she has been. She will be going home tommorow or Friday, and I will be sad to see her go. I am just lucky she only loves about 5 miles away!!

Anyways, that is all for now! Just changing diapers, feeding babies and loving on them too!

Ethan is here!!

Well, let me just start off by saying...my hubbie is napping with the Abster and little Ethan is napping in his crib so I figure while all is still fresh in my mind...here you go!

On Wednesday we took Abby to Chili's to have our last family of 3 meal and then headed to drop her off with Nana & Papa. It was a little sad to leave her knowing that her world was going to change so much, but she is such a sweet girl that we knew she will be fine and adjust well. We came home and I showered (again) and washed my hair (again...Bonnie that is one of my secrets...haha!) And time went by soooooo slow, but finally it was time to head to East. When we got there we were taken to our room LDR 15. We got settled in and they started my IV and answered questions. This is when some peculiar things started to happen.

I never get queasy when my blood is taken, or over needles or ivs. Well this time after she put it in I got really nauseated. But it soon passed thankfully. My nurse (who was wonderful) left us to get some rest until it was time to start the drip & get the epidural. Well I started having some cramping and just couldn't get comfy...not to mention i was too excited to sleep. Anyways, I kept telling myself that I could get some shut eye when the came to do my epidural. Well 2 am came and went. They had 2 csections they were doing so they came to do my epi around3 instead. I was so happy to have it done. But this time I reacted to it with my lovely BP dropping super low. Well they have to give you meds to bring it back up and that can make you nauseated. Well it did of course! So here I am holding my head over a little white bucket...hilarious sight! That passed as well and I began to feel much better. So I finally got some sleep....well more like a 30 minute nap! Then Dr. Lawhon came around 6 to break my water. At this point I was already 4cm. Well as the morning went on some of my "fan club" (as i called them that day) arrived. When they checked me again I was only 5. I was starting to think he was going to take his sweet time like big sister.

Before we knew it though, I was feeling alot of pressure and knew I was close. They checked me and I was 9 and Dr. Lawhon told us that he would be back in an hour and we would have ourselves a baby! Sure enough a hour came and it was time. As everyone left the room, I got teary as I kissed my little girl and watched her wave me byebye! And before I knew it we were ready to push. I pushed 6 times and in about 10 minutes I saw my little boy for the first time! And he was as perfect as I could have dreamed! And right away he stole my heart! What a lucky girl I am! I feel blessed beyond measure that I have this precious little boy to complete our family! God is soooooooo GOOD!!

Big sister has done really well so far. Wasn't scared of mommy being in the hospital bed, but wouldn't sit with me either. Had the biggest smile on her face when she met her little brother!

All for now! Thank you for the prayers and well wishes! We really appreciate them!

Three SEC Champions!!

38 Weeks Preggo- no that isn't a basketball under my shirt he really is that out there!!

Today we celebrated Auburn kicking the poo-poo out of South Carolina! I am so proud to be an Auburn Tiger today as always. We got together with some friends to enjoy our last game as a family of three!! This "last" weekend has gone by way to quickly, but I am trying to soak it all in. Love on my Abby a little more and trying to get ready for the big change that will come this week! So happy and ready to meet our little boy, and get our "new" life started! WAR EAGLE!!!!

Mini me

So before my blog becomes all about my uterus, delivery and new little man in my life :-) I wanted to share what my precious first born & our Big Sister is up too!

I am loving the age she is. Not only can she tell us what she wants, but she can show you too. She is great at grabbing your finger and telling you to "Come on" (not bossy or anything...haha!!) Abby is such a sweet and funny little girl! When we go shopping she will tell me to "hurry momma" not sure where it came from but it is cute...most of the time :-) She will be 20 months old next week and I cannot believe it!

Some words this kiddo can say:
- of course the basics : mommy, dada, gg, cindi (sen or sendeee) nana, papa, mimi, pop pop, cousins names, and other family/friends names

- animals (sounds like elmos), kitties, potamus (hippo - this one shocked me & dada), giraffe, monkey, horseee, our new favorite donkeys, seals, etc... she loves animals

- milk, waters, hot dog, cheese, roni (macaroni), juice, COKE ( i know...this one is bad!! but if she is given any it is like a splash and with a cup of water mixed), coffee (she wants this too!), broki-chez (broccoli with cheese), mamich (sandwich), prezzels (pretzels...new fave), crackers of course, and pickle to name a few
- peas, tankumomma (thank you momma), nap, eat, snack, outside, ride, hold, walk ,etc...

She still loves Mickey Mouse, Elmo, Barney sometimes, Thomas the Train & pretty much most of the morning lineup on Sprout. She loves to read and it is so cute that now she will read with you while you read. She loves to sing - You are my sunshine (melts my heart), Twinkle, Twinkle little star, Itsy Bitsy Spider, ABC's, Wheels on the bus, Skip to my lou, C is for Cookie, and the weirdest one (thank you Aunt Cindi...haha!!) is Hot, Hot, Hot!
Anyways, that is all for now! Just wanted to brag on my little angel before I don't remember everthing :-) Hope you enjoy the pictures of my mini me!!

I love smocked clothes, but nothing like tasteful skinny jeans with her boots & pink hoodie!

7 more days...

Well we only have 7 more days until we become a family of 4! Or less if little E decides to come early! I am 3cm dilated & really soft as my doctor put it! Have a little more thinning to do, but should be in good shape come next Thursday. My parents, Grandma & Aunt Cindi will be going to the SEC Championship game this weekend in ATL, so I am equally nervous that I will go into labor while they are gone. But I hope not!! I got back again to be checked on wednesday then we head to Baptist East that night around 10pm.

Anyways, that is all for now! Can't believe my sweet girl will be 20 months old next Thursday and that our little boy will enter this world then too! SO ready, so excited, so nervous! AHHHHH!!!

Turkey Day

Well Thanksgiving 2010 has come and gone...the desserts from it are almost gone (working on that one today...haha!!) We had a great day with our families and enjoyed yummy food and making memories as usual. Here are some pictures from part of our day!
Pickles....one of our favorite things to eat, besides waffles, pancakes, cheese, green beans, "mamiches", and cake.
"Where's the FOOD???" She was ready to eat!
Put her down for a nap before lunch and here is what we find instead of our sleeping kiddo. Luckily she took a good nap at Nana & Papa's after lunch!

Only 11 days until we head to Baptist East! AHHH!! Cannot Wait!! Tootles for now!

2 Weeks to go!!

This morning I had my weekly appointment. Dr. Lawhon was out delivering another kiddo so I waited....then they told me he wouldn't be back for another hour or so and asked if I could see another doctor. Well, I love me some Dr. Lawhon so of course I didn't want to, but went ahead and said Okay. I saw Dr. Ashurst (the young one...Ev's age) and he was so wonderful! I mean, it is always awkward when you meet a man you don't know when you are wearing a paper blanket across your lap, but he really did make me feel comfortable! Anyways, Ethan is measuring right on, heartbeat sounded great and drumroll.....I am 1 1/2cm dilated. I was about 1cm when I went for my 36 week appointment with Abby so I will take it! He said little E is still high up, but he is head down so. I go back next wednesday for my 2nd to last appointment, and hope to have progressed again!

Before I go I just have to mention what my sweet girl said yesterday! I was fixing her more peanut butter crackers - side note: my kiddo has great days of eating then some not so great, so when she asks for more of something I always oblige.

Continued: so i gave her more crackers and turned around to start putting the pb away and what do I hear. "tankumomma" I turned right around and she was looking at me and eating her crackers! I love my child dearly, but this moment truly melted my heart. What a thoughtful little girl she is turning into! And later that evening, while we were playing with dada, I would hand her the ball and everytime she would say "tankumomma" it was just too sweet & cute! No tankudada's were handed out but I am sure they will be soon!

That is all for now! Tootles!

Tiny Dancer

When I was out shopping with my mom, we found what I have been looking for finally!
A hot pink leotard & hot pink patent leather ballet shoes! And Abby just loved them of course! She was hilarious to watch and now always wants to wear her "baweena choos."
Hope you enjoy the rest of the pictures. Updates to come tommorow from my doctor's appointment! I cannot wait to see if the "process" has begun...I think it has...I hope it has!
Momma help! We are working on this one! Look at all the chompers though!
Got it off all by herself!

Ready for Santa

If Santa decides to come early, we are definately ready for him! We put our tree up this past Sunday and also a few other reminders of my favorite holiday! I didn't go all out this year, like putting my Christmas china out or setting my kitchen table with all the stuff I normally do. Just the bare essentials (for me that is...haha!) Considering I will have a 20 month old and a probablly a 3/4 week old when it comes time to put it away, we decided to make it a little easier on ourselves! We are so excited to take Abby to see Santa this year, and hope it will be a good experience. She loves all the Christmas stuff they have in stores, and says "cute" or "Merry Crizzmas" whenever she sees stuff. I see alot of riding around looking at "aights" in our future.

Anyways, we have a busy weekend ahead. Getting ready for a baby shower for one of my mom's work friends who is having a baby boy in March! Don't know if I have mentioned this on my blog, but my sweet sister (okay in law, but that is just words) Kate and her hubby are expecting again. My niece Addison is only a month younger than Abs and that has been too much fun. Well this time Ethan will be only 3 months or so older than his cousin Marshall! :-) Yes, if you know our family that makes 4 girls in a row: Huntley, Madeline, Abby & Addison, then four boys in a row: William III, Matthew David, Ethan & Marshall! No pressure on my other sister (in law) and Ev's bro Matt! :-) Then on Sunday, we will see little Matthew David get dedicated at church! It will surely be a great day ( doesn't hurt that preggo will get to eat some cake twice that day! haha!)

Anyways, that is all for now! Hope you enjoy these pictures!

My new Target wreath...you know your old one isn't to special when you can't even remember what it looks like ! I just love it!!

Our tree

Another week down...

This morning I had my first weekly doctor's appointment. It went as usual: weight, blood pressure, tee tee in the cup, see my wonderful doctor, hear heartbeat, measure big belly then feel for presentation - head down ready to go as I have known for a few weeks. At this point I feel monsterous...and my wonderful doctor makes me feel good. Anytime someone calls you "thin" when your almost 9months preggo makes you feel better :-) Next week, we will start the fun process of "checking" for dilation! For people who haven't had a kiddo, it isn't the most comfortable thing, but I for one cannot wait! I hope my body starts the process for us again so that maybe this time I won't be in labor for 13 hours like with the Abster. Still it was a wonderful 13 hours with the ultimate reward! Anyways, on to start my next project. Turning Abby's old Pottery Barn Mobile into a fish mobile for Ethan...I will post pictures when I finish :-)

That's all for now!

The Countdowns on...

We are 35 weeks preggo already! Gheez...where does the time go?? And we will meet our little Ethan in less than 4 weeks! Tuesday I start my weekly visits and cannot wait! I will post an update when I get home, so check back around noon on Tuesday!
That's all for now! My belly is super HUGE and I am not sure there is room to grow, but I know he will find a way! haha! War Eagle from The Marshalls!

Ready for Christmas & Little E!

So as you may have guessed by the blog...I am in full preparedness mode and went ahead and changed the blog for the holidays! We start going for our weekly visits next week, so I am really excited to see if I have started the process (see how discreet I was :-)) haha!!

Anyways, on another note, our sweet little Abby is 19 months today! I cannot believe that 19 months ago we saw her beautiful face for the first time, and also that 1 month from today we will see our sons' face for the first time!

That's all for now :-)

Our silly 19 month old Abby!

34 Weeks & The room is ready!

Today I went for my 34 week appointment. Everything looks great still, and I am looking forward to going back in 2 weeks to start my weekly visits. We are getting a weight check ultrasound this pregnancy at 37/38 weeks before we go to the hospital. More for mommy's sake and thinking that Ethan is massive :-) Or maybe that is just the difference in boys and girls. Please say a prayer for us and other mommies to be that we all make it to our due dates/or scheduled induction dates. Most of my husbands family will be out of town the week before Thanksgiving and therefore I am "forbidden" to let little Ethan come while they are gone. I think he will stick around to the scheduled date this time, but who knows!

Anyways, that is all! Hope you enjoy the pictures of his room! Tootles!

Side Note: I did make all this....not alone though :-) Miss Charlotte is just awesome, and if you ever need appliques, monogramming or anything custom made check her out on FB - K & H Florist :-)

Happy Halloween!

Well Halloween this year was alot more fun for us and the kiddo! Last year, she was a little unsure why she was dressed as a pumpkin and it was a little overwhelming for her. Not this year! Our little cowgirl was going, going, going nonstop! That explains the following pictures :-) She really enjoyed watching all the older kids and seeing what everyone was wearing. She was the welcome committee at the Marshall Boo Bash...telling everyone "Hello" or "hey!" It was a great night and we were so happy to watch AU win again as well! Hope you enjoy the pictures below...I will post again tommorow after my 34 week appointment. And Ethan's bedding is done so I will have those pictures on there as well!! Tootles!

All we have heard the past few weeks is punkin, punkin, punkin! When it came time for actual pumpkin carving...we didn't care at all :-)

Our "punkin"

Cowgirl on the move....need a better camera or to teach my child to stand still :-) Think I'll go with the camera :-) haah!

32 weeks

Today I went for my 32 week appt ( actually 31 wk 4day appt) and everything looks great for little E! His heartbeat was very strong, measuring to the day, and also head down and in position. I am still experiencing a little swelling in my legs/ankles, and hands, but that is just the difference in pregnancies. My wonderful doctor pointed out that I still had anklebones so that must mean I am in good shape. MY hubbie treated me to a pedicure (much needed) today after my appointment and I couldn't be happier! My feet have hurt like they have never hurt before.

Anyways, that is all for now! We go back to the doctor in 2 weeks then start our weekly appointments. Little E's clothes are cleaned and ready for him, as is his bedding with a few minor touches his room should be done in about a week. Pictures to come then :-)

Down on the Patch!

On Friday, our dada got off earlier than expected and we went ahead to Dreamfield Farms. It was way more fun than we could have ever imagined. Two of our favorite things, "punkins" and animals were there...We loved the donkeys, pigs and even had a baby goat that followed us around. It was wonderful since it wasn't really crowded and our wild kiddo could roam about, and boy did she! To end the day we went and she picked out a cow cupcake, or "cake" as she calls it! She is my child, and therefore ate her entire cupcake without sharing her mommy & brother a single bite :-) haha!! Anyways here are some of her pictures! Also, please note I have been taking sewing classes to work on little E's bedding and took a break one week to make some pants...yep, I'm shocked too! I made the pants in the pictures & Miss Charlotte did the applique top! If you need anything cute for Halloween, check her our on FB - K & H Florist.
