Abby's 1st Christmas PLUS

Well Christmas has come and gone...and I haven't blogged in over 2 weeks! OMG! That is like a record for me! Anyways, we enjoyed a crazy, exciting & wonderful Christmastime! The Monday before Christmas we went over to our cousins John & Claire P's house to decorate cookies...I am sure we will get to do alot more next year! We did manage to eat part of our cookie (which freaked mommy out) but we suffered no ill effects.

Eating her cookie!

On Christmas morning, we got up and came out to see what Santa had brought!. He brought her a green gingham Pottery Barn Anywhere Chair with her name on it & a tea set. She was really a joy to watch during present opening! She likes paper...I mean, likes to eat paper. haha! Her Nana (my mom & what she will occasionally call herself, but doesnt' really have a grandma name yet? :-)) & Grandpa got her a push around pink car that she loves, her Mimi & PopPop got her a white high chair with her own blonde dolly! And Great grammy & Aunt Cindi got her some fun toys & the Baby Can Read collection...we can't wait to use it! We enjoyed breakfast at home then off to Nana & Grandpa's house for lunch then to Shorter to see our cousins & Mimi & PopPop then to the Pstone Christmas to eat, drink & be merry! We were all tuckered out when we got home that night! We really had alot of fun experiencing Christmas on a new level! I can only imagine how fun next year will be!

Ready to go to church on Christmas Eve

Christmas morning (still in jamjams) in her new chair from Santa

Abby in her chair ready to start her 1st Christmas Day!

Well, if you have read my previous blogs or facebook statuses...we are having a sleeping problem in our house. Abby has been up at least once a night for about an hour for over 2 months. We started letting her "cry it out" last week. And were having some great results...then Sunday rolled around! I finally went in to get her because she was hysterical and was a different cry. And she had pooped her pants, and had been sitting in it. I didn't smell anything so I wouldn't have known. Her privates were all red and so was her hiney...I felt just terrible. So when we woke in the morning, I saw how bad it was. She had a sore & everything was bright red. When I wiped her she squealed in pain! So I called my mom so upset and she came over to check her out & brought us some Resinol. Then Great Grammy brought us some cloth diapers to use instead of real ones. Well we tried the diapers but that didn't work....sooooo we went "nakie" for 2 days to let it air out & heal. Sunday night, she woke up at 12:45. I knew what I would have to do to get some shut-eye for both of us. So I grabbed a comforter, pillow & blanket - and we both went back to sleep on her floor. About an hour later we were joined by dada & brother (oscar) on the floor. So there we all slept!
I just couldn't resist! What a cute little hiney!

Anyways, here are some pictures from our Christmas & of our diaper rash (don't worry these are cute!) Hope you all have had a great 2009 & will have a great 2010! We have been blessed beyond measure this year and can only wait for what next year brings!

December 18th, 2004

On our honeymoon December 19th, 2004

Our family began five years ago today. We began as "college sweethearts" and have come so far from that day. We got married 1 day after I graduated from Auburn...a BIG War Eagle on that one. We have gone through 2 apartments, 2 cities, a dog, me-being a guinea pig for all the OD's in training, ev-gradutating from UABSCO, moving home, buying a house & being graced by God to concieve & birth the most perfect child we could have ever imagined. We have grown so...we have had tons of good days, a few bad ones too. We continue to get what we can out of life. I am just so glad to share mine with my friend, Dada, my Evy!
I hope the next 5 are as memorable as the first!

Our first anniversary, while in the mountains with Ev's family!

Abby's Baptism Extravaganza

This past Sunday, December 13th, 2009, our sweet Abby was baptized at St. James United Methodist Church. We were so excited & nervous about how she would do. She did FABULOUS! She loved the music & huge screen tv! I really think that when they put the water on her she thought it was bath time - which she loves! We couldn't have been more proud of our sweet Abby and thankful for all the family for coming and joining us on such a special day.

After the service, everyone headed back to our house to have brunch. Everett & I cooked everything! (okay...not the muffins & mini cinnamon rolls - thank you Costco!) We had shrimp & grits, quiche, ham & biscuits, fruit, lemon blueberry muffins & cinnamon rolls. The cake was gorgeous and tasty too! I am thankful all of the food is now gone - the rainy weather didn't help yesterday...but at least I am getting back on the bus today! We are so thankful to everyone who came and helped, ate, celebrated, laughed....with us on Sunday. Anyways, here are a few pictures from our "extravaganza" on Sunday!

Tootles!

Abby awake & well rested after sleeping through her whole party :-)

Firsts

On Thursday, we had alot of firsts. We went shopping in downtown Prattville! They have such cute shops with baby stuff. Of course she needed some clothes, because she doesn't have enough...Grandma C :-) Then we went to "Gas" Pro Shops (as my niece used to call it :-) and met Santa Claus. Abby really loved all the Christmas trees, and games...mostly she liked all the other kids playing that were her size. We took turns passing her around the group (Grandma C, Pop Pop, Mama & Dada) to make sure she was happy. Well, it was finally our turn and we were hoping for a happy kiddo! And drumroll please.....she smiled in the picture! Actually SMILED!! We were so excited! I totally get that she was probablly unaware of the beared man holding her, but she did great! Santa was pretty awesome himself :-) After meeting Santa & telling him we wanted a pony..haha...we went to The Catfish House. The gang was all there - Grandma & Grandpa C, Great Grammy & Aunt Cindi and Our MiMi & Pop Pop. Another first - Abby sat in a high chair at the table! I was so proud of her! She ate her dinner and ham'd it up for all of us! Hope you enjoy the pictures of some of our firsts! :-)

A Good Night Sleep...

I'm dreaming of a goooooood night sleep! Yep, that would be a great gift this year. Abby started sleeping through the night at around 2 1/2 months...I was extremely thankful for this. I was made aware from other parents that this wasn't likely to last....well it hasn't. Ever since we started teething, crawling, pulling up...we have gotten up almost every night around 3am. This is hard on mommy...the only thing that makes it not so bad is that I am fortunate to be able to stay at home. So I have no deadlines & no alarm clocks (except Abby).

I am sure I have broken the cardinal rule many times. I am trying not to rush in there when she cries...trying not to pick her up...trying not to rock her...trying not to make her a bottle. But its hard! I enjoy those snuggy moments when she wants her mama, even if it is in the dawn hours. I guess I will have to ask for some advice when we go for our 9 month appt. She already knows who is wrapped around her finger besides dada...haha!

Last night, I got a little emotional...not from the lack of sleep, but by something I have taken for granted! My little angel looked at me when I was rocking her. It brought back memories that have come and gone. Our first night together in the hospital (also at the wee hours of the morning) and just piercing my heart with those beautiful blue eyes. There have been only 4 or 5 nights that she has looked at me the same way as she did last night. And that just makes it all worth it. She is growing up so fast, but it is reassuring that those eyes will look at me that same from time to time with all the trust & love they did in our first meeting.

My cup runneth over...

Turkey Splurkey & Ready for Santa!

Abby ready for her first TURKEY DAY!

This year was not only our first Thanksgiving as parents, but the first one we hosted. My parents, Grandma & Aunt Cindi & Aunt Lois - joined us for lunch and we had a great time! Ev smoked a turkey and it was awesome! We really enjoyed having everyone over...I used my china for the first time since we have been married! Better late than never...then Ev's side came over to cook out that night! We had steak & taters...and we really missed our cousins Maddie, Huntley & William...Huntley had woken up with a fever on Turkey Day...so they were "quarantined" at home. We will make up for it at Christmas! :-)

On Saturday, Ev got out all our Christmas stuff...and we got it all DONE!! YAY!! I love Christmas time! So far Abby has done pretty good with the tree! She loves it! I can't wait to see her open presents Christmas morning...she is gonna be good at that...i think! :-)

Today, went out for some much needed shopping and picked up a baby gate. We have had to many "baths" in our brothers bowl! We will all have to get used to it...brother included!

Well that is all the updates I have now!
Tootles!

YAY!!

Mommy 1 - Teefy 2

So we have begun the wonderfully terrible teething experience. I have been saying that Abs has been teething for months...she has been quite the drool bucket ;-) Well last week when our first white "toofy" broke through...I was pleasantly suprised to have no ill effects from that little guy. Well Monday morning at the lovely hour of 3am - we woke up ticked off...I noticed she was a little warm. Finally found one of the 3 thermometers we have and took her temp - 99.5. So I gave her some tylenol and we finally made it back to sleep around 4:15am then up again at 5:00 then up again at 7. Then mommy & baby both went back to sleep aroun 8:15. Thankful for my nap...yesterday was probablly my most unproductive day in a long time. I brushed my teeth at 3pm (sorry for all of you I just totally grossed out :-)) and was in my pajamas all day. I did manage to put some chicken thighs in the crockpot so we would have dinner (side note - I Loooove my crockpot!) Then after dinner we got our bath! Another Side Note - We were a happy camper all Monday...even though we had a small fever, we played, jumperoo'd, giggled & of course snuggied with momma!

SIDE NOTE: I called the nurse at our pediatrician's office ( I am a worry wart!) and she told me the only true way to check fever is by using a rectal thermometer...I don't know about other babies at 7 3/4 months...but my baby is on the move and has places to go. Well we "tried" to check it rectally, and she started kicking & dancing! Instead of hurting her I gave up...so from this day forward we will be sticking to the ear thermometer!
Well dada fed her a bottle at 7 and she just fell asleep...no rocking needed. I knew this could be good or probablly bad. She woke up an hour later - thankfully I got a bath & washed my face during her cat nap. Then the fireworks began...Abs cried for about 45 minutes...which of course made her spit up because she got herself so worked up. We tried tylenol (more got on mommy than in our mouth), tried a bottle (just made her madder) then mylicon (maybe her tum tum hurt too!). Then our grandma came over to the rescue...and my sweet little Abs reappeared. Laughing, playing, grabbing our "brothers" tail...but then the waterworks continued. So we tried Orajel & that didn't really work, then she was chewing on a coaster (a paper one...not stone :-)) and screamed...then I saw the blood. So I finally got smart & wet a washcloth & put an ice cube in it, and we held it for her to naw on. That was the only thing that seemed to work. She finally went to sleep at 11:10pm and woke up only once at 11:50pm, just to make momma jump outta bed i think :-) It seems our fever has gone bye-bye today. I am just thankful she is only teething & not getting sick. As for our new toofy, the culprit is probablly our new next door neighbor who I can see moving in :-) Hopefully once this new toofy pops through...we will get used to the teethy...I have my fingers crossed!
Tootles for now! Here are some pre-toofy pictures of Abs & dada!

Mr. Crib....Move on Down!

So since we have a crawler ( a good one I might add) and we are starting to pull up too...we have had to drop the mattress in Abs crib down. One more level tonight too! I have put her down for naps several times and she has been completely out! But then about 2 minutes later I will be doing something near her room and feel like I am being watched. I go in her room and there are two little hands on the railing :-) and we are lucky our crib already has a "teething" guard because we like to eat it too.
"Mommy this tastes like chicken" :-) haha!

On Saturday we went out to Mimi & Pop Pops to play & to let dada fish.
Abby found a little rubber duckie...just watch the video to see where it ended up!

Thoughts from a mommy...

As my days of being a mommy pass (way too quickly I might add) , I just thought it was time to write something to acknowlegde what it means to me to be a mother and to know the unconditional love of a child. Maybe I can show this to Abby someday, maybe I can reread this on a day that is just "one of those days!" Who knows? But here goes...

Even before my pregnancy I have dreamed about what it would be like to be pregnant, what it would feel like to carry a child that was part of me & part of my husband? Wondered what he/she would look like, be like. Would she like to dance like me? Would he play sports like his daddy? Would she be smart like her daddy? When we finally decided we were ready to take that step, we were overjoyed that it only took a few months to get preggo. The feeling was surreal and part of me thought I needed to pinch myself. Cause most women, like me, don't really "feel pregnant." Finally having a doctor say, Yes you are preggo, and seeing that little dot (or deer eye, as in my case) was amazing. Hearing the beautiful symphony that is your growing child's heartbeat is far beyond miraculous. After every ultrasound we were amazed at the growth of "Bean Marshall" and I was amazed at what our bodies are capable of doing. The most important thing I think I have ever done, was help to grow our sweet Abby. I don't think it gets much better than that. And I am no gardener :-)

I have seen so many pregnant women in the past few days... like I am talking TONS! With big ole bellies, too!! :-) Unfortunately I only knew one of them, so I could only touch one belly. It may sound funny...but I can hardly remember what it felt like to have a belly. I remember what it felt like to touch my stomach and feel Abby move, and cannot wait until I can feel that again! I enjoyed my pregnancy so much & was lucky to feel great for the most part.

As I type this I know of two women right now that will become mothers today & tommorow. Their journey of pregnancy is about to end with the most ultimate of rewards - seeing, meeting, holding, kissing, snuggling their sweet babies! It is just so neat to me! I feel like I know a secret they don't yet! Of the magnitude of joining the mommy club...what it feels like to meet your child the first time. It is far beyond anything I could ever do justice in describing. As my doctor said, right after Abby was born, "How can some people not believe in God?" So very true!

Anyways, I want to leave you with a wonderful verse that my sis-in-law Kate put on my niece's christening invite - I absolutely love it and it definatley speaks to who is in charge and who takes care of these babies besides their momma's while they are growing inside their bellies.

"From the day I was born, I have been in your care,
and from the time of my birth, you have been my God." - Psalm 22:10

I may try to make this a monthly post of mine - so I didn't "spill all the beans" today. I hope you have enjoyed reading our blog about Abby & my take on things :-) I love blogging! It allows me to share our story and I enjoy "stalking" other mommie's blogs too! I have found some truly amazing women, some that I actually know & some that I have never met, but they have all made me strive harder to be better than I was the day before, and so on....

The Best Seven Months

HAPPY 7 MONTH BIRTHDAY ABBY!!
Mommy & Abby's first meeting!!
Time flies. That has never been more true since our little Abby was welcomed into this world. Our lives have changed. Much different than before, yet still somehow familiar. There are the things we used to do we get to do, but so much more meaningful. I love every morning (no matter what time it is...haha) that I will go into her room and wait for her to see me....and then the biggest smile I have ever seen. She doesn't get her morning "chipper" self from me - but it never fails. When I am in the worst mood or just tired, and I just look at this precious child and think, how can I be in a bad mood when this little person loves me! I cannot believe how much she has changed in the short 7 months she has been in our lives. I am thankful for every bit of food spit back at me, every poopy diaper, every goofy grin, every slobbery kiss! Abby, I will continue to try and be the best mommy I can for you! Thank you for being such a good happy baby who loves to smile! Your smile means more than anything!

Oh, and just so you know (if you missed my last post) we started crawling at 6 months 4 weeks...video below! She is getting the hang of it, and wants everything she sees!

Anyways, tootles from me & my little bday girl!

Look what I can do!

So today in our Kindermusik, we were talking about our kiddos and funny things they do, etc...anyways, I was telling our teacher Ms. Lisa that we think Abs will be crawling in a week or so. Well she started to take up toys and Abs took off all the way across the quilt to the toys! We were all like OH MY GOODNESS! It was so funny! I think Abby was just showing off for the other 2 kiddos at class today :-) Anyways, she is on the loose everyone! So watch out!

This blog almost didn't make it to you...this thing is like a moth to a flame :-) Abby showed her skills the minute I opened my laptop...here she comes! I will post a video tommorow!

Today is another day that reminds me how fast this precious baby has grown. It just seems so vivid to me everytime I drive past Baptist East! I still get a little emotional (not crying, just sentimental) seriously everytime. It was the place we met our gift from God. How cool!

A cute little find in the punkin patch!

This Saturday night we took Abby to celebrate Halloween at her Aunt Hollis & Uncle Will's house. They always have a hayride and yummie treats! Abby didn't nap alot Saturday, so we knew she would be a little hard to handle on Sat night. We finally got her dressed in her pumpkin oufit! She looked so cute...but wouldn't smile...PERIOD! We walked behind the hayride this year and went to trick or treat at one house. We got a pack of mini M&M's. Then we headed pack to play on the floor....we were much happier playing with our candy than anything else we did :-) We got home earlier than expected...and that was great!! We were all tired! This morning we went to church and took Abby to the nursery at St James. It was her first time being kept by anyone who isn't related! We keep our fingers crossed that our number wouldn't pop up on the screen in the nursery! She did great and took a 2 hour nap when she got home! They must have tuckered her out! Anyways, that's all for now! Here are some fun pictures of our Halloween!

Poor Baby!

Today, we went to play with Addie, Mimi & Kaki...Dada even came to see us during his lunch break. Abby was playing on the floor and was sitting. She fell over (which she has done before...no biggie) and this time her pacy was right where she landed. She cried more than normal so I picked her up. And she did the whole not breath for a second or two and turned red. The I calmed her down a little and gave her to dada. Then I saw the reddish drool fall onto dada's shirt. She was bleeding...my mind was like don't panic she's okay...but it is still really hard to see your baby crying and bleeding. She ended up busting her top gum...but I got her in the car to go home, and she fell asleep on the way home and she is still asleep as I type this.

That is all for now! Here is a picture from last week of Abby wearing my shades! She loved it!

2 posts in One day! That's Crazy!

On Wednesday, we had a fun day and played with our MiMi & cousin Addison. I know both of the girls slept very well that night, as Abby went to bed at 8pm and didn't get up until 8:30am - which NEVER happens! It was nice though! We had a fun day of stealing our cousins pacy, pulling our cousins hair, trying to eat our cousins hand, and playing with our scarf. We even went on a walk and both girls seemed to love it!!
I am not trying to brag, but maybe aside from her momma & daddy & grandparents...Addison thinks I am the coolest/funniest person EVER! What a huge compliment from a 5 month old cutie pie! I barely have to do anything and she laughs at me...maybe she knows that I'm her crazy & silly aunt yaya! At Addie's age Abby was far more selective with her laughs...and nothing makes me happier than a little baby having a nice belly laugh at my expense :-)
Anyways, here are some pictures from our visit.
A shot from above of these silly girls & their pacys!
Not so long ago, but seems like forever...these sweet babies have grown so fast!

Abby Shop-A-Thon

Last night Abby, Grandma, Aunt Cindi, Great Grammy & I ventured out to the Holiday Market. I knew this year would be different because last year we hadn't found out what "Bean" Marshall was yet. So we made it through the door and WHAM!! Baby clothes, baby shoes, hair bows....Oh My! Grandma got suckered (haha!) by Abby and now has alot of cute clothes. We got her a hippy-ish outfit that is pink with candy canes, a smocked red dress with santa on it, some Christmas Jammies, a new sippy cup, and the best deal of all was a 4 piece outfit from Smockaroo (i think that is the name) $40 for green gingham top, bloomers, pants, and pantaloons (sp?) and they even monogrammed onsite for only $6...so if you have kids or are aout to have one I would definately stop by this booth! Oh also my mom got Abs a hat with a flower on it, since we still can't quite hang onto a bow :-) I will post some photos later! But we did have a great time - Abby also flirted with boys (already...gheez!) and hammed it up for everyone we ran into! She is a funny girl!

That is all for now! Tootles!!

One Cool Wedding

This past weekend my college friend - sorority sister & former roomie - Alicia got married!! I was honored by being a bridesmaid...I had a great time!!

On Friday I went to the bridesmaid's luncheon @ Silver Spoon Cafe! It was soooo good to see everyone and so yummy! They got married at First United Methodist in old Cloverdale...that church is just gorgeous!! Of course, the weather got really chilly...and the reception was outside! Luckily I stole "borrowed" my friend Kelly's Chocolate Brown Ugg boots! Thanks again for "barting" with me to use your shoes! The reception was in the old train shed downtown...it was the most perfect location! They had an awesome band, great southern vittles and the BOMB pumpkin spice cheesecake...I want some more now! Where did it come from Alicia?? I must know...Ev wants it for his bday next year! Anyways, we had great night toasting the bride and groom! Congratulations to a wonderful couple!! YAY for Alicia & Adam Whitley!!

As far as Abby goes...she came to the wedding with my momma & Everett. She was in a beautiful baby blue smocked dress and her new white coat & matching hat! The sad thing was that everyone was telling me how beautiful she was and then when we got to the reception...Ev told me she had freaked out because of the train and her first time being outside in the cold...so she had already gone home with her Grandma! I was a little dissappointed, but I had a great time seeing and partying with old friends & new ones!!

That's all for now!!

6 Month Stats!

Today Abby had her 6 month appointment...We had a great time except for our shots :-( We got 4 including our flu shot, so 2 in each leg. She didn't cry for too long...I can definately tell she was way more aware of what was going on. I know that when she is older shot time will become alot more difficult. But we will cross that bridge when we get there. On to the stats...

Weight: 15lbs 13oz - 50%

Height: 28 1/4 - 97%

Head : 17 inches - 75%

She is my tall and thin girl :-) who loves her cereal and peas!! Abby is quite the talker and babbles all day long. Of course she says "baba" and "dada"...the only "mama" I ever hear is when she is ticked off. :-) Ironic huh???
I am joining the minor leagues of "baby wrangling" aka changing her diaper. I think Abby's "changing" table will officially become a dresser soon. I have had to resort changing her on the floor a few times :-) I have learned the art of putting a diaper on a kicking, squirming baby who is on their tummy...dressing her that way as well. The funniest part is that Abby is no fool...she knows exactly what she is doing! Whenever I try to turn her back over, she is smiling, laughing and just hamming it up!! We have knocked our wipe warmer on the floor numerous times and try to grab the diaper pail...she has definately made life fun & exciting and full of more love than I could have ever imagined!!
Tootles for now!! :-)

My BIG Girl!!

I am proud to say that my sweet angel starting sitting up on Thursday October 1st! Since we had her pictures coming up (see previous post) I was hoping she could do it, and she did! :-) She also has started wanting water and can handle a cup/sippy cup pretty well...of course half of the water ends up on her :-) haha!!
Then last Saturday we got lucky and had our friends Matt, Sara & Magda come into town! We were so excited to meet Miss Magda...her & Abby had a good visit. Abby was just in awe of Magda and her silliness when she crawls....I know Abby is ready to use the skills she learned :-) It was also nice to visit with her wonderful parents!

THIS WEEKEND!!! What a great weekend it was!! ...Friday night momma & daddy went to Harlequins Ball to see our cousin Anne be presented! She looked so beautiful and we had a great time! Aunt Cindi came and had a slumber party with Abby. She brought Abby a new toy and 2 books, one of which she tried to eat :-) Saturday we went over to our cousin Bobby & Katie's house to watch the Auburn game...even though we lost Abby had a great time! And got to meet her Auntie Layne...finally :-)

Wednesday is our 6 month appt...so I will update her stats then along with some pictures I took on her 1/2 year birthday!!

Tootles!!

Abby & Magda still in their jammies...please notice how much they look alike and how Abby is under her playmat from scooting backwards :-)

One Wedding & A Baba

Abby is quite the talkative little gal! She has started babbling and it really cracks me up! She will look at you and start, "bababbbbaaababaa" like she is trying to tell you something and you should understand! When you put her bottle or "baba" in front of her she says it too! We have been enjoying our meals....we have tried carrots, butternut squash and today we tried sweet potatoes. Next stop, peas then some fruit! I just know she will have a sweet tooth...Momma & dada both do!! And suprise, suprise....she loves those carbs, and by that I mean cereal of course!

She went to her first wedding this weekend! The rain held off for the ceremony portion, but started during the reception. But, when you have a margarita in hand...WHO CARES?? Abby even got a kiss from the beautiful bride...my longtime friend...Mrs. Camille Crisp Cumuze! She did great during the ceremony. Thankfully it was outside and so dada could stand in the back with her. She didn't make a peep until, it got quiet! We didn't want her to start shrieking...so we took that precaution. Also, I forgot my camera at home! So our sweet aunt Carrie took a picture of Momma & baby...didn't think to get a family picture!

Abby has her 6 month pictures this weekend with Ms. Suzanne! She is freakin awesome...I will post a link to our sneak peek when it is ready! I have been busy making tutus....they are so easy and so cute!

Tootles for now!

Rain Rain Go Away!

This past weekend we went down to the beach for Abby's first "official" trip as a family. She did great in the car... she slept abotu 45 minutes then was awake the whole rest of the way and just enjoying having momma in the backseat with her. We were smart to put her in her jam jams so that when she did go to sleep (not long after we got there) it would be easy. We had great company with Ev's brother Matt & his sweet wife Meredith.

We woke up EARLY (thanks Abby :-)) on Saturday morning to the rain. I was sure it was going to stop, but NOPE! So we finally got the boys ready...yes they couldn't decide on where to go...shocking i know :-) So we went over to Shuckers Oyster Bar @ the Wharf. They had a ton of tv's, oysters and cold beer. Abby was great there as well...she is really a good baby anyways. Then before we ran to the store we decided that even in the drizzle, we couldn't come all the way and not take the baby to the beach. So we pulled into the public beach and wrapped her in a towel and headed on down. I got to dip her toes and she wasn't too sure about it. Then a wave came and got us both wet....I screamed Whooooo, and she wasn't to pleased about getting all wet. So our beach excursion was over :-)

That night we had a great time watching Auburn kick some MS State booty! We had a great shrimp boil and Abby had a fun time kicking around with her auntie & unc. We also had a encounter with a roach later that night...that scared Everett so much.

I had gone upstairs to check on Abby cause I could hear her rustling around and when I went upstairs (lights off...only nightlight) I saw a roach. I turned the lights on...and it was gone. I knew I wasn't crazy. Anyways, I picked up the pack n play bag and it jumped out. I let out a big scream and of course Ev & Matt came running up the stairs. The baby monitor was on and all they knew it that I was checking on Abby. Needless to say, no more screaming for me...Ev went back downstairs got another beer and sat down. He said his heart was beating so fast...the only person I didn't scare was the Abster. She was a happy little baby during the "roach incident'.

On Sunday we headed back home and Abster was so tuckered out she slept the whole way home! So did momma! :-)

Anyways, here are some pictures of Abby on the beach...please don't mind the "whale arms". Everett is no longer allowed to take the pictures :-) haah!
