UPDATE!!!! Abby has been sleeping in her crib for about a week, and drumroll...for 2 nights now she has only gotten up to feed once in the middle of the night. We have our last feeding at about 9:30 or 10, and she sleeps until 1am...then until about 5 or 6! I am soooo proud of my little butter bean! I am definately enjoying the increased sleep hours!!
Well...I am going to be a total copy cat...I was just reading one of my sorority sister's blogs about her sweet little angel Reese and loved that she listed what she liked and disliked at this point. So here we go...
Abby Loves....
...her car seat. It automatically makes her zonk out and she will even chill in it long after we are out of the car.
...her baby papasan swing. She loves the motion and classical music. This one also makes her zonk out, but not before she has stared at something right by it. I still can't figure out what she stares at.
...her boppy play gym. We used to not like this but, now loves it. She kicks around and makes goofy sounds. She has started to stare at herself in the mirror.
...her bath time. When we gave her, her first real bath, she totally loved it. (I knew she would be a water baby like mommy) She wasn't too sure why water was touching her hiney at first, but got used to it.
...the titty. I could have never imagined how much I loved sharing this time with her. I also love the anticipation she has when it's time for the titty. It is hilarious...if I could post a video of it I would. She gets cross eyed when it's time and makes a cute expressions then lunges her head at my boobie! Hilarious!!
...her ba-ba. Since we are supplementing also, she has started to love her ba-ba.
...her crib. (THANK GOODNESS) She has been sleeping in her crib for about a week. And she does so good in it. I have one of those Katie Little like velvet sheets...I would love to sleep on this too.
...snuggy time. We have snuggy time at least once a day. Sometimes in the morning after our 8am feeding or sometimes in the afternoon after her feeding. Momma & baby get in the bed, and I prop her up on her boppy with her blanket, and hold her and we nap. Her head in right next to mine and I can smell her sweet breath. It is truly my favorite time of the day.
Doesn't like...
...swing or bouncy seat IF, she is already ticked off.
...pacy. Her & her pacy have a love/hate relationship. Sometimes she likes it...that is if she can realize what to do with it. The other times it just sets her off.
...have a tee-tee diaper. This little girl will let you know when she is wet. She pitches a fit. Poopie diapers no. She doesn't mind them at all.
...being swaddled. My little girl is either going to be a conductor, air traffic controller or break dancer. She loves those hands, and I have stayed up many a night watching her on the monitor just playing with those hands. BUT, those hands have a mind of their own and wake her up all the time. This week we started a new routine where I wrap her (hands included) in her blanket before I start our nighttime feeding. This helps her get to sleep sooner and longer!
...sunshine. Our den is extremely bright because of all the windows. I love this...She does not. Especially if you accidentially get her face in sunlight for a split second. She squints those eyes and make a terrible face.
That is all I can think of. I am posting this because I know I will start forgetting every detail...she is growing so fast and I want to capture every minute.
