Yay for Kindermusik!

My sweet sorority sister Emily (and former roomie) told me about a Kindermusik class she and her lovely 8 month old Ally were going to take. So Abs & I jumped on the chance and signed up too! Today was our first class....we had a really great time! We got a massage, we sang, we jumped, and we "threaded the needle" with our scarf (it tasted really good too :-)) Our new friend Ally was having a good time ( well, part of the time) and Abby got a kick out of her rocking back and forth and just giggled at her new friend. I have no doubt these two will enjoy each others company for the remaining weeks of our class.

Our teacher Miss Lisa is just awesome and you can tell she really loves our little ones. Abby isn't the youngest in our class, another cutie Elsa was born april 30th...so her & Abs are the young un's in the class. Our class is all girls - 6 of them - Frances, Phoebe, Margaret, Abby, Ally & Elsa. They are all such beautiful little girls!! And fun ones too! I would highly recommend this class, not only is it getting us out of the house but also good for mommy and baby to have their "type" of interaction.

Carrots are Yummie!

Yesterday Abby had her first taste of veggies! Over the last week she had done really well with her cereal...so we decided that she would get some carrots. I used my Beaba Cooker that I got at one of my showers! It was super easy to use and I would recommend it if you want to save money on baby food. Now that I am no longer breastfeeding it is still nice to be able to "make" Abby's food!! :-) She did really well, and just loved it!

I cannot believe how fast she is growing up. She is ready for Auburn football and her cheerleading outfit looks like it will fit perfectly!

Abby is rolling over both ways, reaching for everything, and wants everything to be in her mouth. She does this thing with her dada that cracks us up. She acts like she gets mad and screams and tries to eat his face....I will try to get this on video and post it later on.

She likes to poop it poop it...

So today I was pooped on AGAIN!! I got pooped on Thursday while feeding my sweet angel. Well today I was feeding her again and in the back of my mind thinking, Gheez last time I got pooped on I was wearing this same shirt and was sitting in this recliner. And of course I thought that one time was a fluke. Well I suddenly noticed that my shirt was a little damp, and remembered Abs didn't poop it yesterday. So i took her back to change her clothes and mine - when I pulled her onesie off , I only suspected a little poopy on her back...well it was in her armpit and in her belly button and everywhere else you can imagine. And my sweet angel who likes to help me out when I change her put her hand down south and it got covered in poopy. So I was not only trying to clean her up, but keep her from putting the poopy hand in her mouth :-)I was shocked...and laughing my head off. There was seriously poopy everywhere - the changing table, the mat to keep the changing table clean. So instead of using 300 wipes, We took it to the bathroom sink. The whole time my sweet angel just thought this was amusing. Needless to say, I now have a very happy and clean baby!! :-) Who would have thought having someone take a poopy on you would be so funny!

She's going to be America's Next Top Model....

This morning our 4 month appointment with our wonderful Dr. D. She is just awesome and we were so happy to see her. We (by we I mean Abby) talked to her during the entire exam...I think she was trying to talk her out of the shots, but oh well. She got 2 shots this time...they combined 3 into 1, so we only had 2 shots and our oral Rotovirus vaccine. She was not too happy about the shots, but took a long nap when we got home.

We started rice cereal about 1 1/2 ago and she is really getting the hang of it. We get to start veggies in a week or so...I cannot wait to use my Beaba and make Abs food. I cannot wait to see her eat real food...from her reaction Abs is excited about food too. She let Dr. D know it when she gave us the go ahead.

Anyways, on to the reason for the post title!!

This little angel has grown so much

Weight - 14lbs 9 oz....Abs has gained 4 pounds since we went to the doctor last!

Happy 4 Month Birthday!

HELLO WORLD...MY NAME IS ABBY & I AM 4 MONTHS OLD!

My baby is 4 MONTHS OLD & I cannot believe it!! She is growing and changing so much! She loves her hands and her toes - and just last week put her toe in her mouth and starting sucking on it :-) We got for our 4 month old check up on Wednesday, and I cannot wait to see how much she has grown. Hey Mom, What's for dinner??

Today, we decided to go ahead and give our little angel a taste of rice cereal. I think she would have rather had momma's biscuit, but it did just fine. She was quite funny as I got her to open her mouth and try it. We "ate" for about 15 minutes, and made a good mess! :-) Towards the end she had started to get the hang of it, chewing and actually swallowing the cereal. I am looking forward to tommorow when we try it again. We went ahead a few days before our 4 month birthday because Abby has exhibited all of the signs that she was ready for some cereal...getting hungry before it was "time" to eat our baba, watching us eat, chewing, and losing the thrusting reflex in her mouth.

On another note, our little girl is a chatter box. Friday she started babbling to her Mimi, and yesterday had quite the conversation with her dada. She does it now non stop, and looks so sweet & cute when she does it!

Hip Hip Hooray for Jumperoo!!

We have gone through alot of changes...all but retiring our wonderful swing, our first bouncy seat and moving onto a new bigger one...then today! The WONDERFUL Jumperoo from our Grandma & Papa Cizek!! I hope this makes your day the way it did mine. Don't mind the top from our ottoman that is allowing my long baby to reach the floor! :-) How time flies!
