14 1/2 months going on 14

It's hard to believe that we have gone from this...
...to this
In such a short amount of time. In the past 2 weeks I have seen so many changes in my sweet, independent, dependent little girl. She has really started talking alot in the past 3 days. She will repeat most words, like juice, cheese, applesauce & elbow (which sound the same), ball, nana, mimi. She has started wanting to take her shirt off, if daddy has his off. So the joy that is after bath time aka mommy chasing the kiddo to put lotion, diaper & jammies on, all goes kaput because I get those jammies off & less than 15 minutes later she takes them back off. Anyways, back to the story...so she takes her shirt off then wanders towards the kitchen and comes back with her pants off too. Lucky for us the diaper stayed on - so she laid out on the floor hamming it up. I asked her did you pee-pee in your diaper, and just like that, she said "pee pee." I know it is a bodily function, but it sounded so sweet coming out of her mouth :-) haha!!!
We also have a couch climber on our hands - this stresses me out so much! So far she has only fallen once and that only deterred her for like 10 minutes til she was back trying again. Abby is also learning to test limits...like when I say No, she keeps on doing what she is doing. Stop has proven to be a better word, since she will say No No No! It would help if daddy could stop laughing when she says no, but hey it is funny :-)
Anyways, that is all that my pregnant brain can think of right now! We go back to see Dr. Lawhon next Tuesday & I am so excited. Then I will have a date for the big ultrasound to see who is hanging out in my tummy.
We are also waiting (right now actually) to hear if we will meet our newest Marshall baby next Wednesday. I am so excited for Everett's brother Matt & his sweet wife Meredith! Ever since I saw my sweet Abby for the first time, I have been even that much more excited for parents-to-be that I know to meet their little ones. It is truly a miraculous event! Even more exciting is that Matt & Meredith didn't find out the sex of baby m! We will all be suprised! More on that later...tootles for now!

At the beach with cuz...

This past Sunday, my sweet sis-in-law Kate & I packed up our kiddos and headed down to Orange Beach for some fun! Or as my sweet husband said, "my vacation". Ummm...hello other mommies out there - even though you are at the beach, you still have a crazy kiddo to run after, bathe, feed, etc... so not really a "vacation" but nice quality time away from home with the kiddo. New scenery is good afterall. Abby & Addie got to spend some time with their Mimi & Pop Pop, Kaki, Laura, Mark & Hunter, so we did have some other people to look after and amuse the little ones. (thank you thank you thank you! :-))
Mommy didn't get much suntime, so I am heading today to see my besties at the lake. I plan on being lazy and getting a tan tommorow until I have to head home. Daddy is watching the kiddo tonight, and might even be taking her out to dinner! Now, won't that be such a sweet sight. We missed our daddy while we were away, and he got a huge running hug from the kiddo as soon as he got home on Wednesday.
Here are a few pictures from our trip :-)

This is my precious niece Addison (aka Cuz) Abby & Addie are only 1 month apart and it is a joy to watch them at this age. Kate & I say our kiddos were switched, because mine is pretty quiet and laid back. And Addison is quite the talker and a wild child :-) See why we might think the switcharoo happened :-) haha!!
The girls in their matching mermaid jammies...
there are those smiles we wanted!!

Little Mommy

Abby has begun to act like our little mommy running around the house. It is tooo stinkin cute, and I just get tickled everytime she does it. I was attempting to re-organize our closet (meaning: trying to consolidate things from our spare bedroom that will be new baby's room in Dec, before I get too huge) and I found this cute silk paisley purse. It is perfect Abby size, and it has a few credit cards, id and her cell phone and fake keys. Well yesterday, she had it and my actual keys and was walking to and from the door with the purse on her arm and the keys over her shoulder. She would then go to her pink push car and get in like she was going somewhere.

I cannot believe the things she understands or knows how to do. She knows that if her milk is getting low in her cup that she can shake it to see if there is any left, and most times there isn't. This makes for an unhappy kiddo! She knows what remote works what...so you can't pacify her with a remote that doesn't work or operate the certain machine she wants. She is her Daddy's child :-) She is also saying "aboa" alot...I have no clue what she means. She also has started saying "peas" before you give her something and tell her to say it. too cute!!

New baby news...I am feeling pretty good. Still have the moments of lightheadedness, but those will hopefully be gone soon! I am so excited to start my second trimester next week. I can also tell that my fatique is getting better...i need that energy back. I am still walking almost everyday for about 25 minutes with Abs - it is so hot we have to go at like 8:30am or its too much for mommy! Pushing a 20 pounds kiddo in a 20 pound stroller is a good workout!! I think I am starting to get a little belly and can tell my jeans won't fit for much longer. It is amazing though that my maternity jeans from last time seem so huge right now. I know I will fit into them soon. This week I have felt Baby#2 - "lennie" move a few times. It is so neat to actually know what I am feeling. I felt the Abster move at about 16 or 17 weeks so that should be about right. It is just amazing to me that I will look back at 2009 and 2010 and say I had a baby both years! :-)

Anyways, that is all for now! Up next for us - meeting our new cousin maybe this month or early July, moving to our big girl bed, and finding out in July who is in this tummy. We have so much to be thankful for! Hope you enjoy the picture of little momma :-)

Beach Bum!

This weekend we headed to Orange Beach to celebrate Memorial Day. Unfortunately, Everett had to spend the majority of his time at the Urgent Care getting an abscess lanced and going in for a follow up. But Abs & I got to live it up with our cousins and also going to visit our Nana & Papa at Aunt Marcie & Uncle Tommy's condo. This was also Abby's first trip to the actual beach. I got alot of good pictures since her Dada was unable to make it down in the sand with us.
Hope you enjoy this kiddo & her sand!
Playing with Nana in the pool!
One of Abby's many silly expressions!
I like sand!
this is neat
Could someone pass me a magazine?

Everett turned 30!

So I am super behind with all the goings-on in our little world, so here is my attempt to catch up. On May 19th, Everett turned the BIG 3-0! That morning Abs & I got up and made dada breakfast casserole, fruit & banana nut bread. He really enjoyed it! That night I told Ev we were going to The House restuarant at the Reinaissance Hotel. Well we actually were...but several of his friends & family were meeting us there and he had no stinkin clue! Hooray for me for not giving in and telling him. Dinner was pretty good...it took a long time and I have been to many tapas places before and they are small plates, but these were munchkin size plates. Preggo here, got shrimp & grits and got 2 shrimp. Needless to say, I was still hungry when we left...but thank goodness for the birthday cake. Which was as yummy as it was gorgeous! Anyways, here are a few photos of that evening!! :-)

What to do if a giant catfish eats your baby?

Well, fortunately for us...that didn't happen :-) But we do have some monster catfish out in the pond Abs was playing in at her Mimi & Pop Pops! We were out there to celebrate my niece Addison's first birthday! The weather was perfect and the cake was too! :-) We got to eat chocolate & vanilla cake...the kiddo & preggo loved that!

On Sunday, we celebrated Mother's day by going to church & going out to eat with our Nana & Papa, Aunt Cindi & Great Grammy at Cracker Barrell! it was so yummie and Abby loved her Chicken & Dumplings. Later that afternoon, after a good nap for everyone in our house, we headed over to Wynlakes to take Abby to her first big "POOL". To say she liked it was an understatement. She loved it, and I have a feeling we will be there alot this summer!

On Tuesday, I had another dr.'s appt and ultrasound. Little "Lennie" is about 19 millimeters now (i think...haha) and so that changed my due date. I have kept going back each time...so it was encouraging to move ahead 3 days. So our new & improved due date is December 17th, 2010. So we may have a Dec 10th baby..which would be great since 2 of my besties (twins) have that same bday! On another good note, I haven't had any "morning sickness", all-day nausea or feeling like poopie whichever you prefer, since Saturday. I am hoping this is for good, but I will take these glorious days as they come. I think I will finally feel preggo when I look it, and so far I haven't. I am definately hoping to show earlier this time, instead of 24 weeks, like with the Abster.

Hope you enjoy the pictures!! Tootles!

Mommy styled her hair all crazy after our bathtime!

Baaaaah!

Yesterday, Abby had be dumbfounded. I heard her say, "Baaaaaaah" and looked over to find her looking at her animal picture book. She was looking at a picture of a sheep! I thought it may have been a fluke. Got the book and showed her the picture again, and sure enough....checks full of air and out come a big "Baaaaaahhhh!". We haven't really gone over that book in forever and the sheep isn't really one of the animals we concentrated on. But, who knows?? It is amazing how fast she is changing now! I didn't think it could get any faster, but here we go. Today, if you ask her what a Sheep says she says Bah! if you ask her what a horse says and she does this super cute, high pitched and not very loud neeiiiiggh! It is so cute! She has also gotten very good at bringing me things she isn't supposed to have. Like dirt, dead bug, or a little teeny tiny piece of paper she finds on the floor.

She is just a joy! Anyways, that is all for now! Just wanted to brag on my little gal! :-)
