18 Months!!

Well this morning was the Abster's 18 month checkup! She did much better than last time....at first :-) We played in the house and waved at a everyone in the waiting room! We didn't even cry when they called our name! She was happy for the 15 minutes we waited...then it was time to get weighed! She got so upset because they tried to put her on the baby scale. (side note: the normal nurse wasn't there....she knows to put us on the big girl scale) So after 3 attempts to lay her down, I asked can we just do the stand up scale. But she replied that she wouldn't be able to do that...but hey its not my job right :-) Then we finally got her weight. But the way we got it was to weigh this almost 8 months preggo momma holding her kiddo then weigh me without the kiddo :-) Fun stuff!! Anyways, after that was over we went back into the room to get measured...again no fun! But we got it easier than the weight. Then she started to ask me all about what "he" was doing...to which i responded everytime, "yes, she is". Finally after 4 more "he" questions, I said "SHE" really loudly. Not that I care that someone calls my beautiful little girl a boy, but come on "his" name is Abby :-) haha! After we calmed down we got to visit with Dr. D! I must say that I love our pediatrician! First off, she is female and has kids! She has been there and done that, and gives me more info & advice than I would ever think to ask about! We did ask about our pacy...since we have become blankey & pacy psycho people around here! We got our flu shot and our 2nd to last shot until we are 5 years old! I know Abby will be very happy to know that :-)

Anyways, onto her stats:
weight : 22lbs (25%) I promise we do feed this kiddo! She is just very "active" (understatement)
height: 32 1/2 inches (75%)
head: 46 1/2 cm (50%)

Onto what she is doing at 18 months:
-TALKING TALKING TALKING - they asked me if she knew at least 3 words and used them regularly. Well this kiddo probablly knows about 50 words and uses about 20 regulary (give or take) Ex: I sneezed the other night at dinner, and she said "Xcuse me" haha!!
-She is eating all things (except ice cream) that are sweet, apples & bananas, "mickey" chicken, green beans, CHEESE, Cackers, squash, broccoli. This kid loves pancakes, waffles & "catch-it" ketchup!
-She loves to be outside! I am so glad the weather is cooling off, because it was too hot for big ole belly to be outside, but now it is much better! She says "side" or "out". She loves to go on car rides, or "beep beep" as she calls it.
-She loves animals - dogs, cats, cows, chickens, you name it and she loves it!
-She is an AUBURN girl! She loves Aubie, tigers and saying War Eagle, sounds more like weagle weagle :-)

All this brain can think of for now! Just happy & fat :-) Loving my little girl, belly & life! Only 7 more weeks until we meet our little brother!! OMG!!

Hayride!

This weekend we had some friends in town! Boy did Abs & little MG have a great time! I have never seen Abs play with anyone like that unless it is our older cousins Huntley or Maddie. They ran around, squealed & giggled! It was just too cute! On Sunday we took the girls out to Shorter to go on a hayride & feed the ponies. We had a great time with the H's! Next time we are coming to you, I promise :-)
That is all for now! Hope you enjoy the pictures! Tommorow is Abs 18mth check up! I will post her stats when we get home!

30 Weeks & Booked!

So tommorow I will be 30 weeks preggo! I cannot believe that Ethan will be here in less than 9 weeks!! I am seeing the doctor now, every 2 weeks! I am really enjoying being pregnant -not the emotional outbursts & crying...but the eating is fun! haha! I feel more shoved in my body than last time. I can tell Mr. E has gotten big enough not kick so much, but when he moves now it was a wee bit more uncomfortable than it was with Abs...but again, loving this belly!!

At my dr. appt. everything looked/sounded great! I discussed when we could schedule our induction at the hospital, so that Ev can schedule his patient load for the days when he will be out. And to my suprise, my wonderful doctor called right then and scheduled our induction! So we will be heading to Baptist East on Wednesday (night) Dec 8th and meeting our precious little boy on Thursday Dec 9th! It is cool to think that I will have April 9th & Dec 9th babies!! But he may have a mind of his own like his big sister, so we shall see! Here are some pictures of his room so far...I am finishing the last bumper pad and I will post a picture of the finished product! That's all for now!!

Our life in pictures

Daddy's adorable helper

This little girl loves her dada!

She loves her crayons too! Thankfully when we painted several years ago, the guy talked me into washable kitchen paint...doesn't hurt the crayons are washable too :-)

Mickey pancakes courtesy of our wonderful dada! This girl loves some pancakes, french toast & waffles!!

Ready for the Auburn game! Love the t-shirt I found, AU Cheerleader in Training :-)

28 weeks!

My BIG OLE PREGNANT Self @ 27 weeks!

Well we have a little more/little less than 12 weeks to go until we meet our little Ethan! I cannot believe that my next dr.'s appt is in 2 weeks then shortly after that every week! I felt like the beginning of this pregnancy snailed on by...but now it seems to be on overdrive. I will be so happy to have him here, happy & healthy, considering the few crazy things that have happened this go around.

Anyways, he is doing great! Measuring right on schedule, head down (super low!!) and a grooving & a shaking like his big sister did! He definately hits like a boy :-) I can tell he is gonna be a long one like Abs too. Underneath my right rib has already started giving me some discomfort...so its only a matter of time before both sides do that...just like his sissy!

That is all for now! Hope you enjoy these cute pictures of the Big Sister :-)
Unorganizing the diaper bag & checking out all the baby wipes :-)

Her first time having her toenails painted by Mommy! I cannot believe she sat still long enough!

Being silly with one of mommy's headbands!

Has anyone seen Abby? :-)

Miss Picasso is 17 months old!

I cannot believe my little Abster is 17 months old! It seems like time goes by faster and faster everyday. She changes so much from one day to the next & shocks me with new words (good ones & bad ones too...bad mommy!)

Abby had her 2nd sick baby appointment EVER last week. We only made it through 2 days at MMO before she got her first cooties, but that is what I expected. She is 100% back to her old crazy self and we are so happy she is. She was so cuddly when she was sick & actually napped with me 2 days in a row! But I needed my goof goof girl back!

Yesterday, I noticed some very pretty artwork on the COUCH! :-) It came off super easy but I still wonder how she snuck by me with 6 different colored crayons and colored a nice stripe on each couch cushion?? She loves her "Colwors" as she calls them.

Anyways, here is a little of what she is up to at 17 months old:

- You are already in your big girl bed! And you LOVE LOVE LOVE It! You have made the transition so much easier on your mommy & daddy than we ever could have thought! You love your room & your toys and make a good old mess, but will always get back in your bed to go Night Night!

- You are still a good sleeper! You go to bed around 7:30-8 everynight and don't get up most days until after 7am! Mommy thanks you B!

- You are "broadening" your horizons when it comes to fruit. You love "Nanas" and are starting to like apples & grapes, except that you suck all the juice out then put the remainder on your tray. Its better than nothing though! :-)

- You are quite the talker! You can say all the basics - plus a few of mommy & daddy's favorites like All Right, mushy, nite nite, cow, watch & shower "Shaww." You even suprised mommy when she got out the fall decorations for the house by saying "punkin"

- You L-O-V-E Elmo! Everyone who comes to the house gets introduced to your new life size Elmo doll! We are glad you love someone as sweet as him :-)

- You love the tub! You even try to get in with mommy when she is trying to relax in the tub :-) Or try to get mommy to get in if she bathes you in the BIG tub!

- You are all about your "Choos"! I think your Nana is to blame for this one...but I've got to say I love that you love all your shoes! Especially your cowgirl boots!

Thank you Abby for being such a good, sweet, happy little girl! You only get frustrated when you need help and then your happy again! You are such a blessing & I know you will be the best big sister! Mommy & Daddy love you B!

Auburn Cheerleader In The House!!

On Saturday we were fortunate enough to have a "REAL" Auburn Cheerleader in the house. Well she hasn't officially cheered for them yet or been accepted to AU, but all in due time right? haha!

Our little Abby had a great time watching the Auburn game with our friends Melanie & Bryan and Jennifer & Jimbo! She hammed it up for them and even stayed up until the game was (FINALLY!) over! That had to be the longest, most boring game in AU football history, but we won! SO that works for me!

On another note - Abby has peepeed in her big girl potty 2 times now! She is sooo ready for potty training, so that is our next big adventure. Any advice anyone has would be appreciated! So far I am deciding that this will start in the next few weeks...goal - diaper free before Ethan gets here...so we shall see!

That's all for now! Tootles!
