What to do if a giant catfish eats your baby?

Well, fortunately for us...that didn't happen :-) But we do have some monster catfish out in the pond Abs was playing in at her Mimi & Pop Pops! We were out there to celebrate my niece Addison's first birthday! The weather was perfect and the cake was too! :-) We got to eat chocolate & vanilla cake...the kiddo & preggo loved that!

On Sunday, we celebrated Mother's day by going to church & going out to eat with our Nana & Papa, Aunt Cindi & Great Grammy at Cracker Barrell! it was so yummie and Abby loved her Chicken & Dumplings. Later that afternoon, after a good nap for everyone in our house, we headed over to Wynlakes to take Abby to her first big "POOL". To say she liked it was an understatement. She loved it, and I have a feeling we will be there alot this summer!

On Tuesday, I had another dr.'s appt and ultrasound. Little "Lennie" is about 19 millimeters now (i think...haha) and so that changed my due date. I have kept going back each time...so it was encouraging to move ahead 3 days. So our new & improved due date is December 17th, 2010. So we may have a Dec 10th baby..which would be great since 2 of my besties (twins) have that same bday! On another good note, I haven't had any "morning sickness", all-day nausea or feeling like poopie whichever you prefer, since Saturday. I am hoping this is for good, but I will take these glorious days as they come. I think I will finally feel preggo when I look it, and so far I haven't. I am definately hoping to show earlier this time, instead of 24 weeks, like with the Abster.

Hope you enjoy the pictures!! Tootles!

Mommy styled her hair all crazy after our bathtime!

Baaaaah!

Yesterday, Abby had be dumbfounded. I heard her say, "Baaaaaaah" and looked over to find her looking at her animal picture book. She was looking at a picture of a sheep! I thought it may have been a fluke. Got the book and showed her the picture again, and sure enough....checks full of air and out come a big "Baaaaaahhhh!". We haven't really gone over that book in forever and the sheep isn't really one of the animals we concentrated on. But, who knows?? It is amazing how fast she is changing now! I didn't think it could get any faster, but here we go. Today, if you ask her what a Sheep says she says Bah! if you ask her what a horse says and she does this super cute, high pitched and not very loud neeiiiiggh! It is so cute! She has also gotten very good at bringing me things she isn't supposed to have. Like dirt, dead bug, or a little teeny tiny piece of paper she finds on the floor.

She is just a joy! Anyways, that is all for now! Just wanted to brag on my little gal! :-)

December 20, 2010

On Tuesday, I had an ultrasound to better date my pregnancy. This time I got to see a precious teeny-tiny beating heart. It is just amazing to be a witness to the greatness & miracle of that God can do. That little thing was just booming :-) It made me feel so much better. And we found out that we will most definitely be staying at home for Christmas this year. I mean, we always stay home because we are fortunate to have most of our family close by, but with a week old or less than 2 week old, we won't be venturing out in the cold. That is one thing I am most concerned about. Last time, we brought a "fresh one" home :-) ( don't you just love my nicknames for things..haha!) it was April and sunny & warm. This time...in the thick of an Alabama winter - but you never know how this weather could be right?

We are also having deep convo's about what to do about Abby's sleeping arrangements. We don't want to kick her out of her crib, just cause someone else needs to use it. Mommies who have been through this, what did you do?? We are thinking that we will just get her a toddler bed, because the daybed we had "planned" to use for her it just too big for this BIG little girl :-) Or I have read about putting the twin mattress on the floor until they get used to it...Can you tell I have researched, thought, obsessed about this?? Really, any advice is GREAT!

Sorry, lost my train of thought ( it happens alot around here) - back to the pregnancy. I feel good, and ready to get a belly again! :-) I have been nauseated for about a week now. It is different that with Abby. It could be much worse, but i just feel like my tummy is off all day. The only thing that seems to keep it better is stuffing my face with food. I was never this hungry with Abby as I have so far. We just ate lunch less than 2 hours ago and I am already hungry. I don't want to gain a ton of weight right off the bat, but what to do??? Make healthier decisions right? haha! Cake is a healthy option right? It has eggs in it! haha!!

As far as the Abster goes...she is going, going, going! All day long! She is hilarious and is "talking" so much now. To a magazine, her book, the chair, her pink princess potty, Oscar, and us...it is just precious to hear her sweet little voice. We did her 1 year pictures this morning with Miss Suzanne! We chased her around...I really mean it! That is what we did for an hour. I will post the link for our sneak peek as soon as it is up.

That's all for now! :-)

December 2010

Abby is going to be a ..... BIG SISTER!!!!!! So before the year is out, we will have a kids under the age of 2! Wow, Mommy is gonna have her hands full! :-)

On Tuesday, I went to the doctor and saw Dr. Lawhon! I missed him so much, since I hadn't seen him in almost a year. He is such a great doctor and hugged me & congratulated us! We couldn't be more excited about this new addition to our family. We pray this pregnancy will be free of sickness (so far so good) and that this sweet baby will grow & prosper like our sweet Abby has.

I am going back to the doctor next week to better date the pregnancy, like I had to last time. So I will have an official due date then!

Tootles for now!

Another Party & The Pool!

So last Friday was Abs real birthday, so of course she had to have an Abby Gadabby Birthday party right?? And my parents used to say I was spoiled...haha! We got together at their house along with Great Grammy & Aunt Cindi to have some grub and feed the kiddo more cake. I don't know if it was the smaller crowd or the 1/2 pound of butter in the icing but Abs went nuts on the cake. She was eating the icing then when she found the cake she just took it to another level. I was seriously impressed with her cake eating skills. And boy was she slimy when she got done...a little butter never hurt anyone...right, Paula? She got oodles of loot from this party - a picnic table to eat, draw, color, etc. on, a backpack, a doll, a dvd player for the car (thank you thank you thank you!) a Yo Gabba Gabba video for said dvd player, clothes, new jam jams & a bikini!

All her loot!

Yay !!!
Abby's smash cake her Great Grammy made. She made most of my cakes as a child and hers are always so yummy! The icing was fabulous! Like I said, a half pount of buttaaaa!

Today, she got to use that birthday bikini while she played in her new kiddie pool! Last year she was only like 6 months old and was not too fond of the cold-er water. So I was really excited today that she enjoyed herself. She laughed ... when brother (Oscar) got too close, when I put the inner tube on him, when she put her hand in the water, when she pulled her hand out of the water, when she put her hand that was covered in water in her mouth. Let's just say she laughed and had a great time! The bikini was hilarious! She filled out the bottoms & let's just say she had alot of room in the top :-)

Our brother Oscar, kiddo makes sure he stays on his toes, gets fed, gets chased & gets petted. (we are getting better on that last one haha!!)

Abby's Birthday Week!

Abigail Marie
what a difference a year makes...

So we began Abby's birthday week last Saturday with her actual birthday party, and will end it tonight with a small party at her Nana & Papa's house (my parents, who finally picked their names) haha! Our Great Grammy is even making us cupcakes and another smash cake. Hopefully that will make up for the start to our birthday. I'll get to that later.

On Monday, we went to Walmart & got our new car seat! I was going to get something neutral, but they had a pink one! And if you know me, I can't pass on something pink & cute for my sweetie pie! That night we put it in the car. On Tuesday we went to play with our cousin Addison & our mimi so momma could run to the gym. Mommy needed to run with all the cake that was consumed on Saturday :-) This was our first trip in the new car seat and she just smiled the whole time and loved it!

On Wednesday, we picked up our Nana from work and went to Lee's Kids to get fitted for our first pair of real shoes. Abby loves her white sandals and I love that my walking kiddo isn't trudging around barefoot. After that we went to Chappy's and met our dada there. Abby enjoyed her first "real" meal there, and demolished her chicken salad sandwich! She loved her dill pickle too! They are her new favorite!

We stayed in and played on Thursday, and when dada came home he setup Abby's birthday present. A pink swing for the tree in the backyard! She just loves it and I hope to get alot of use out of it this summer!

(please note the pink Guy Harvey shirt worn in the picture. Nana said she just had to have one to match her dada)

On to THE BIG DAY, we headed to the Dr's office at about 8:15, and they took us back around 8:35ish. She got weighed on a real scale, not the undress your baby and lay them down scale. I got a little sad when they did this, but anyways, no mushy stuff today right??

Here are her stats:
1 Year - 19lbs 8 oz - 25 %
Birth - 7lbs 4 oz

1 Year - 30 1/2 inches tall - 75%
Birthday - 21 1/2 inches tall

1 Year - Head 45 1/4 cm - 90%
Birth - Head 37 cm

She has grown into a funny, healthy & happy little girl! Dr. D said she she looks great! Then onto the shots! It was pitiful, she didn't want to lay down. She looked at me like, "Mommy, It's my birthday! Why today??" But she was fine a few minutes after that and we left to run to Target. My happy little camper loves Target. Well we were about to leave and I looked and she has a bloody bandaid in her hand going to her mouth! AHHH! So she was ripping off her bandaids & one was already missing. I started to think she had it in her mouth, and then karma came for me! She bit me! She bit me with all the force she had...but I did deserve it, for the shots! haha!!

Anyways, she is sleeping and home now! So we are packing for Abby's stay with Nana & Papa this weekend, while Ev & I head to the beach to celebrate the Godfather's 30th Birthday! :-)

Tootles!!
